  7. I have a samsung table. I forgot my pattern password but i know my pin and the fingerprints wont work, how do i reset the pattern password?

  8. To remove pattern lock, deleting gesture.key file did nothing, but browsing the same folder (on Android 6 Marshmallow based phone) you see a file called:

gatekeeper.pattern.key (there is also a gatekeeper.password.key file in case it’s forgotten password)

Using TWRP, mount the system partition (from mounts menu), then from the terminal (found in advanced menu:

    cp /data/system/gatekeeper.pattern.key /data/system/gatekeeper.pattern.key.bak

    rm /data/system/gatekeeper.pattern.key

(the above backs up the original pattern.key file before deleting it)

then reboot and you see pattern lock is no longer active
